| About Me |
| |
| Personal Background |
| BORN AND RAISED IN SOUTH DAKOTA. I was born in Rapid City and moved 9 days after
that. Before resettling in Rapid City in 1980, I lived in the South Dakota
communities of Gregory, Watertown, Lake Norden, back to Watertown, Pierre,
Winner, Sturgis for high school and Spearfish for college. As you can see, I can
empathize with buyers and sellers who are going through a move. |

| Family Of My Own |
| Married since 1984 my wife Julie and I have two wonderful daughters. We were fortunate to be able to raise our children in this beautiful area. As a family we've enjoyed camping and boating for many years. I also love bird hunting, fly-fishing, music and travel. My wife Julie has had a successful sales career of her own. She has been a financial advisor with Prudential since 1979. I have had many opportunities to draw on her expertise over the many years of our lives together. |

| A Real Estate Pedigree |
| My father entered the Real Estate business in 1972. He purchased Morrison Real
Estate which quickly became Martin Real Estate in 1974. I can remember driving
him around to show ranches in Meade County shortly after I became old enough to
drive. I also have family ties to new construction home building. I have two
brother-in-laws, a sister and a brother who have been home-builders. Many of my
high school and college summers were spent wearing a carpenters apron and
pounding nails. |

| Professional |
| I became licensed in Real Estate in 1985. I spent my first 5 years Century 21 Mastercraft. It was an excellent office to build the basic skills and foundational training that I needed to launch my real estate career. I then joined Coldwell Banker, Lewis, Kirkeby, Hall. I enjoyed a very successful 6 year run at Coldwell Banker. I received numerous awards and distinctive recognition. It was during those years that I was able to break through and reach the top production sales levels. In 1995 I decided to pursue a business dream of a different sort. I became a small business owner when I opened Schlotzsky's Deli. After 5 successful years I expanded to a second location in Rapid City. I operated both stores for 4 more years and sold them in in 2004. The sale of Schlotzsky's allowed me to re-enter the real estate business in March of 2004. I re-joined Coldwell Banker for 2 years and was able to move to RE/MAX of Rapid City in March of 2006. I was very excited to be joining RE/MAX. From the time I was a young man RE/MAX has always been the most respected and admired office in the area. The level of professionalism and quality of the agents who work there, make it truly a dream office to be affiliated with. |

| Experience Matters |
| The combination of my broad real estate background and my experience as a multi-unit business operator make me uniquely qualified to handle my clients real estate needs. The primary focus of my real estate career is and has been Residential sales. I've seen a wide variety complicated scenarios in Residential sales, however; the Business, Commercial, Farm/Ranch and Land transactions that I've been involved in, have prepared me for for situations that less experienced agents could have problems with. My father specialized in Farm and Ranch sales. Through his connections I was able to get involved in a several Farm/Ranch sales. As a business owner I gained experience in Commercial real estate. With the help of a publicly traded national company I was involved in Commercial leasing and Commercial site selection. I also went through the process of selling my own business. I have an extensive background in investment property and had worked on several large land sales. I have also received my CRS designation and I am working on a GRI degree. I am a strong believer in education and I strive to be professional in all my dealings. |
